Product Description

Despite the efforts of my tutors to steer me in a conceptual direction, I found myself at the end of 6 years at the University of The West of England, drifting into painting and needing affirmation for which I looked towards my audience. Quite early on in my journey, while attending an art therapy studio, I was encouraged to write a journal. I discovered the Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron and I wrote my morning pages with a vengeance and passion. It helped me clear the brain fog, focus, and feel grounded.

I took on a curatorial role and collaborated with other artists whom I had met at UWE and together we put on many shows between 2014 and 2020 when COVID struck. During this time I found myself needing to be recognised on a more global level and feeling . as did my friends, that rather than paying to show our work we should be paid at least enough to pay for materialsI, the fee for hire of the gallery and the upkeep of a studio. There is also a number of hidden costs in the process of putting on an exhibition which has meant that my friends and I have found ourselves out of pocket by a considerable sum. With this in mind I asked my friend Sam from Corridor Web Services to construction a commercially oriented site.

So welcome to all those of you joining us on this amazing project, visitors an professionals alike. My vision is specifically directed towards anyone who feels they might benefit from the therapeutic aspect of creative activity. Alternatively if you’re just looking for a piece of work to brighten your lounge, bedroom or office please do get in touch.

My work is autobiographical and forms the bedrock of my recovery from alcoholism.
